About me
Tomer Moked relocated from Israel to Michigan in 2019 to take on the role of Director of NEXTGen Detroit at the Jewish Federation of Detroit, where he leads a board of 50 young adults and a team of seven talented professionals. Tomer is a certified life and career coach (M.C.I.) specializing in supporting performing arts professionals. He earned his B.A. in Acting, Directing, and Theater Education from the Kibbutzim College of Tel Aviv and trained as an actor at Beit Zvi College of Performing Arts, graduating in 2004. He also holds a diploma in Positive Psychology Studies from IDC Herzliya. Since 2015, Tomer has been a proud member of the Cornerstone Faculty with Foundation for Jewish Camp. Tomer has spent over 20 summers working at Jewish summer camps, beginning his journey as an Israeli shaliach at Surprise Lake Camp in New York in 1999. In 2008, he joined the Tamarack Camps family in Michigan, where he later served as Assistant Director, overseeing staff training and international staff development. Tomer is passionate about exploring and sharing the colorful and diverse culture of Israel and the Jewish Community, through arts, film, music, and - most deliciously - food.
