About me
Steph Sussman is a Los Angeles native and recent graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where they earned a B.S. from the Experience Industry Management department with a concentration in Outdoor Recreation Management. Steph is the Wellness, Inclusion, and Belonging Fellow with the Foundation for Jewish Camp, part of the fourth cohort of the FJC Fellowship. Their passion for experiential learning and Jewish community has shaped their leadership journey, from serving as president of Chabad at Cal Poly to interning with Far West USY. A lifelong "camp enthusiast," Steph has spent every summer since the age of nine at Camp Ramah in California, where they grew from camper to staff member. Their staff roles included counselor, music specialist, and vocational program manager for staff with disabilities, along with supporting ACA reaccreditation. Steph is dedicated to building inclusive, meaningful spaces that foster belonging, joy, and growth. They currently live in Brooklyn, NY and are on a quest to find the best bagel in their neighborhood.
