About me
Lauren Cohen Fisher (Fisher) holds a faculty appointment in Jewish Studies at Colby College, where she teaches courses about Israeli Society and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict & serves as the Director of Jewish Student Life. She is the creator of The Inquiry-Centered Model, an approach to Israel/Palestine education that has been adopted as a cornerstone pedagogy at Hillel International. She has trained hundreds of educators in her approach, helping bring its teachings to over 200 campuses. She has served as an expert consultant for national and international organizations, including Foundation for Jewish Camp, BBYO, Moishe House, Moving Traditions, and Hillel. Fisher has a Bachelors of Arts in Government, a Masters of Political Science, and is pursuing her PhD in Education. Fisher lives in Portland, ME with her partner Emma and their sweet dog Max.
