About me
Long before he earned a BFA from OCAD University, a BEd from York University, and an MEd from OISE at the University of Toronto, Daniel Abramson was just a curious kid with an urge to take things apart to figure out how they worked. His passion for inquiry, curiousity and discovery fuels his unique approach to experiential education. Daniel gained experience translating pedagogy into practice, teaching science at Toronto Heschel School and has shared his ideas about best practices for teaching Arts and Science in THINK magazine. For him, the evidence of transformative learning can be observed when kids feel confident to follow their natural curiosity to investigate the world, allowing their sense of wonder to grow. You'll often find Daniel guiding an evening of star-watching and moon-gazing, catching sneaky rainbows, or rubbing wool socks together to make tiny lightning bolts, in hopes of igniting sparks of curiosity and cultivating awe-inspiring experiences for campers.
