About me
Idan Chazan is a PhD candidate at New York University, focusing on the history of Israel and Zionism. His research examines how Israelis have historically responded to national crises or scandals. Aside from academic studies, his professional experience has centered on Israel and Jewish education. He was an educational consultant for four years with The iCenter, where he spearheaded curriculum development projects, TA'd for their MA program at George Washington University, prepared Israeli shlichim for their work at overnight camps, and led training at summer camps for staff and campers. Idan attended Jewish summer camp in Chicago and Jerusalem for ten years. When not learning or teaching about Israel, he can be found watching the Chicago Bulls or Los Angeles Dodgers, or playing catan and backgammon with friends and family.
